Meine Lieblingsprogramme unter OS X

iTunes suckt tierisch, vorallem bei grossen Mp3 Sammlungen, bei denen nicht auf id3 geachtet wurde, sondern die auf file/ordner Basis organisiert sind. Perl oder Python Scripts die das ganze etwas entschärfen demnächst hier.

Einige Worte zu OSX und UNIX

OSX verspricht das beste aus 2 Welten, hält das nur teilweise ein: Textverarbeitung mit dem unter GNU/Linux akzeptablem OpenOffice.org ist unter OSX akuter Schmerz, genauso das arbeiten mit GIMP. Hier will man MicrosuX? Office bzw verzicht auf Textverarbeitung. Statt GIMP nimmt man Photoshop, dann macht das wieder Spass.

Sicher funktionieren GIMP etc pp. Aber man hat eben nicht das Gefühl wirklich nah dranzusitzen. Das ganze fühlt sich eher an wie wenn es emuliert wäre. Das ganze lässt sich leider nur als Gefühl beschreiben, nicht belegen.
